not commenting on the donkiness of the players.
should we be folding the first hand in order to let the short stack blind out?
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

yeah .. ICM wise the first hand is pretty bad.

i dont let big stacks run me over, blinds are huge, and whos to say the small stack will lose when hes bb

03-11-2010 09:37
i know what you are saying.
my thought on this is that the best outcome makes you the chipleader. in that case you still have to knock out two players to win first. the worst option is you make 3rd place money.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

so the risk/reward ratio just isn't worth it in this situation? i should settile fro 2nd untill 3rd gets knocked out(hopefully) then fight it out?

03-11-2010 11:29
honestly with the blinds this high any edge you find is going to be very minimal.
However, I think it is very rare for the small stack to make it through the blinds again. So if the majority of the time the small stack doesnt make it through the blinds then the majority of the time you are guaranteed second place money.

Perhaps but this is h/l alot of split pots

i thought about that and cant really decide whether thats changes my thought line or not.

standard it may be, still donk ass play though, its limit he, how do you play 6's post flop? also hitting a set well just get you a few extra bets, not like no limit whee you can stack sum1

03-12-2010 06:38
Jesus christ man ..
Preflop call is 800 for a pot of 2400 with huge implied odds. Flop call is standard. Turn = jackpot.
And look, on the river the pot is a measly 10k .. that sure wasn't worth it, huh.

Wow it's good you don't post on the .nl site cause they had burned you to the ground for whining.
The 6'are superstandard, easy call pre flop on the flop most of the time 6's are good so why would he fold?
Rocco: I killed your cat, you druggie bitch.
Donna: God.
Rayvie: What?
Donna: Why?
Rocco: I thought it would bring closure to our relationship.
03-12-2010 11:55
so its ok to play small pocket pairs for a raise then reraise pf? its not even that advisable to play small pocket pairs limping in in a multi way pot, bcuz the implied odds just arnt there, and there wont be many flops you are happy with, and theres little chance to making it to the river winnign the hnd
