1st, WTF are you doing playing Q5d with the blinds this low?
2nd, what can your opponent possibly have that would make him willing to play that flop?
A. A flopped set? He'll raise any reasonable bet and bet if checked to.
B. An overpair? He'll call any standard 1/2-3/4 pot bet and probably bet if checked to.
C. A bigger diamond draw? Here's where it gets dangerous (especially on Stars). He'll only call a bet. Probably check if checked to.
D. Overcards? You can check to him to see if he'll bet but any aggression and he's gone.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

bet/bet/bet imo (unless another diamond), only way to get SOME value out of this one.

Did something I usually never do .. figured if he was drawing for the flush, he might still go full retard and get it in on the turn.
Maybe bet/bet/bet would have been better, I don't have a clue really.
/edit: I didn't see that the turn paired the board btw

honestly you probably got the most value you could have in this situation. although i dont think this should be your standard line.
i would think the bet/bet/bet line probably contains the most value against your average villian. Simply because I dont think many villians put any chips on the turn after you check-raise the flop.
The way Dave listed your opponents possible holdings (even though i think he left out top pair possibilities but you can lump them in with overpairs) you will get the most value from a, b and c by simply betting flop, turn and most rivers.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

Villain is a russian fish and he might very well be able to spazz off and shove the river with like 7 high or some crap.
Sucks because there are no real draws that he could chase so I decided to snap check flop and turn .. thoughts?

i hate this spot.
if you c-bet alot this would probably be a good spot to put a small bet out on the flop. it can be very tempting to raise a flop like this if the villian c-bets almost always. it may be the best way to get him to spazz out.
plus, if you get a call you can check the turn behind. this will lead him to believe you dont have a hand that can call a big bet on the river.
But most of the time you just arent getting action on this board.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

checking the flop is not really a problem, very villain dependent.
I think the turn is the best spot to go with a bet: he can call some of his draws or raise it, while on the river he won't call any draws and only raise with crap.

What i would done was to bet on the turn.Clearly the guy had AK since he raised preflop UTG and called a re raise . IF he folds fine by me. Also a C bet on flop might be called but this re raise by you really scared that guy
I think.
