Recently, PokerNews’ Editor-in-Chief, Matthew Parvis, wrote a blog post titled “We’ve Got Some Questions.” In it, he called out some of the sites and gaming commissions associated with online poker’s Black Friday.
In the blog he wrote, “I have sent formal emails to PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and UB/AP requesting a minimum 30 minute voice-to-voice interview to include a mixture of questions from my staff and I, as well as reader questions. We've also requested interviews with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to see where they stand on what is...
Im curious to know why they dont require players funds to be safe guarded. Seems like the responsible thing to do.

These semi-legitimate gaming commissions are in place only because serious regulations are not in place. Once online poker is legal and regulated, they will evaporate ... especially the Kahnawake Gaming Commission which is nothing more than a particular native american group using their land status to shelter a number of activities that have - unfortunately - become infamous. The role of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in the actual UB and AP superuser scandal has raised more than eyebrows in the poker community and without going into torturous detail ... the fact that no serious third party investigation was ordered by a chartered accounting firm was made says it all ... the KGC is not a serious organization IMHO.
Sure there are questions and I really do hope that all the U.S. players get their money back but it looks like the chapter called UB/AP will be closed with their bankruptcy and never an audited statement for investors.
With any luck these weird semi-legal "commissions" will be swept aside when serious regulations with teeth come into force, transparent and devoid of the current regulatory commission environment of loose-as-a-goose laissez-faire "poker players are cattle" attitude that is the only guiding light of these so-called commissions.

Hell I was not the best player online, but enjoyed playing with people from all over the place. Most of all I learned a lot from those bad beats, but it's time for those fat cats quit lining there fat fucking pockets and ante up. Just consider youselves lucky because they could bring you to Texas for some old school poker justice!
