Full Tilt Poker (FTP) and PokerStars are facing more legal repercussions in the form of a lawsuit filed by software company, Cardroom International. The lawsuit was filed simultaneously in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, and the Santa Monica Division of the Superior Court of California. The legal landscape is being cluttered with claims and lawsuits, many totally bogus and some with some merit.
The DOJ must be breaking out the champagne and cigars because in the stampede to lay title to the frozen millions, lawsuits arguing that poker is illegal strengthen the DOJ argument that the U.S. should be like Bolivia and ban online poker.
Sad because it leaves the U.S. behind the rest of the world in an unstoppable online industry: gaming. Amazingly enough, France not only drafted regulations & safeguards within a year to tap millions of Euros of tax revenue, but is rapidly becoming the new leader for poker.

to flintsword.. ima a gamer, and i got offended when u generically called poker as online gaming industry, poker differs totally and completelly from any other online pc gaming.. poker should be classified in the same category as betting, since it doesnt only depends on your skills, yes it also depends on luck and lies..
