James Bord has obviously been misquoted. No intelligent person would be caught officially making arrogant claims that have so little relation to reality. U.S. players have been dominating poker for decades and if indeed James Bord is saying that Europeans have suddenly achieved superiority ... then he has also made a truck load of turnips look like Einstein.

Matthew Waxmann just finished winning the World Poker Tour Paris and in a dominating way I will add (I was there but only came in 25th) and hey ... guess what? First American to win a WPT event outside of the U.S. THAT sounds more like American players asserting their playing skills to me Smile
