William Hill Staffers Protest Amid Relocation Rumors

According to Gaming Intelligence, online gambling giant William Hill announced Tuesday that several of its online managers at the company's support center in Tel Aviv, Israel, are facing disciplinary action following a walkout by nearly 200 staffers. The protest was reportedly driven by rumors that the company would be moving operations to the United Kingdom or Gibraltar.

If you are an employee of an online gambling business, you *have* to know that defensive measures are necessary to protect the business. Although the U.S. Department of Justice is theoretically limited to actions in the U.S., in practice as part of the current online Poker Prohibition in the U.S., the DOJ has literally reached around the world siezing bank accounts and crippling international operations. PokerStars was organized and made arrangements ... FullTiltPoker was poorly organized & needs to be rescued or it is totally gone.

William Hill is just one declaration from the U.S. DOJ away from a lot of financial hurt, and considering the trade cooperation between the U.S. & Israel ... William Hill is smart to examine the geographic exposure of the physical parts of their business. ALL online sites should review the geographic exposure of their online businesses.
