Each week, the Global Poker Index releases a list of the top 300 tournament poker players in the world using a formula that takes a player's results over six half-year periods. Erik Seidel remains at the top and barring a huge result from somebody close behind, he's likely to stay there undisturbed for quite some time. For a look at the entire list of 300, visit the official GPI website.
The Top 10 as of October 31, 2011

Great ... another "who is active & who has been dropped from the global institute list ... No creative "Who has been on the longest on the GIL" ... or ... "Who has improved continuously since the inception of the GIL a few months ago?" Poker news can bring real news to this artificial list since the compilers of the list seem more interested in who is no longer ON the list than the success stories INSIDE the list.
PokerNews can lead by revealing the successes INSIDE this list rather than parroting the GIL offical line of who is just bad enough to be kicked off.
