2011 November Nine

The biggest spectacle in poker, the World Series of Poker November Nine never disappoints, and Sunday's game was no exception. After a four-month hiatus, the final nine players of the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event converged on the Penn and Teller Theater in the hopes of making it to Tuesday — to be part of the final three. Pius Heinz, Ben Lamb, and Martin Staszko have kept the dream alive and are still in the hunt for the coveted bracelet.

It was on tv for 5 hours last night. No one ruined your day except for you.

popchips, the live feed and commentary by Antonio Esfandiari was excellent. If you can suffer through Phil Hellmuth's stilted commentary ... it should be interesting nevertheless.

The 15 minute delay to show hole cards was inspired & has elevated the November Nine.

That said, I think waiting two days for the final three to play is pretty stupid ... personal opinion simply because most people can clear a night to watch the November Nine play poker. Clearing two nights out of three days is tough for people that have REAL lives. Unfortunately, I will probably miss Tuesday's final because ... well ... contrary to what the WSOP organizers believe, the world does not revolve around the WSOP 100% of the time.

>Heinz turned a set, and Collins added more outs to his range.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

>Heinz made the call and tabled 6s6h, well ahead of Staszko's As8c

Hardly well ahead.

And popchips do you realize how stupid it is to go to a website dedicated to poker news the day after the biggest tournament of the year resumes and not expecting to see the results? That would be like turning on Sportscenter and becoming upset that they ruined the results of a sporting event you had taped to watch later. How dare they?!

Go Go Staszko!

Don't get mad that you lost, get mad because you didn't win.
