Day 1a of the World Poker Tour Prague kicked off on Thursday at the Corinthia Casino in the Czech Republic. Of the 231 players who entered on Day 1a, only 93 have advanced to Day 2. Leading the way with an impressive stack of 209,300 is Jan Ranik .
Those who were eliminated on the day have another chance on Friday because they are able to re-enter on Day 1b. Plenty of the eliminated players will be taking another shot, while the ones who advanced have a day off before returning for Day 2.
There were quite a few notable players in action on Day 1a. Among those who got behind a stack of chips...
The site is amazing and the Seat I won via PartyPoker for $44 translated into 6 days in the 5 star Corinthia Hotel in Prague, free internet, free breakfast, $1,300 spending money, and of course PartyPoker pays the $3,500 entry fee for you. Dealers are great and the free lunch for players is a pretty good buffet. That the beer is good goes without saying because Czech beer & Slovakian beer is among the world's best. Some pretty funny plays, very loose generally, and a record WPT attendance (!!) with 571 players registered beating WPT Vienna 2010 which had 555 players.
