A new poker tour is set to hit North America in 2012. DeepStacks announced Thursday it will launch the DeepStacks Poker Tour, a multistop televised tour that will deliver the DeepStacks pros and great tournament structures and guarantees to casinos across North America beginning in February 2012.
The first stop on the tour will be at Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York, from Feb. 15 to 19, 2012. The $1,500 DeepStacks Poker Tour Western New York Poker Championships will offer a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and will be televised with award-winning commentator Joe Stapleton...
Let us all hope that DeepStacks are energetic enough to ensure that there are satellites on major poker sites to feed players into their tournaments. With all due respect for PartyPoker and their brilliant acquisition of the World Poker Tour, the main weakness is the inability to run satellites on a number of online poker sites. The DeepStack poker Tour is luckily not owned by any one online poker site and can offer a number of online poker sites advertising opportunities as well as qualify players into their tour. As for choosing PokerNews as your poker news commentary ... smart move.
