Remember when Erik Seidel was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2010? He was supposed to make his acceptance speech, receive a standing ovation from his peers and then slowly fade into obscurity, right?
Apparently Seidel didn't get that memo. The 52-year-old poker legend enjoyed a career year in 2011, cashing for more than $6.5 million in tournaments across the globe to claim the top spot on poker's all-time winnings list with nearly $17 million in lifetime earnings.
Seidel's memorable run began right off the bat in January with a pair of final tables at the PokerStars Caribbean...
"Apparently Seidel didn't get that memo" ... great intro ... As soon as I saw the title, I said to myself "I hope PokerNews was smart enough to put the amazing Seiborg video from the MICROs and sure enough, the PokerNews IQ soared and there it was. Great number five and I will probably be grumbling that it should be higher but I want to see number 4, 3, 2, & 1 before I start that.
Here's hoping that Eric Seidel can turn in another stellar year in 2012 ... now that story would be next year's number two if not number one.
