The gaming industry spent the week before New Year's Eve planning one of the biggest nights of any casino's year. But in between the stage building, countdown practicing, and cage stocking, casino executives found time to set in motion some big changes for 2012. New year, new start, new record, new name, new deals, new rooms. Of course, most of it is the same old, same old.
New Revenue Record for Macau
OK, so there isn't really anything new about Macau raking in the patacas, but another year end means another annual revenue record for gaming's golden goose. Macau casinos brought in 268...
The new name is "LVH" ?? Which overpaid executive authorized that idiotic option? In a world where excellent marketing talent is available at the drop of a hat and very little real cash ... the owners decide to call that turkey "LVH". I sincerely hope it is just a temporary name pending a serious theme attempt. Since the bosses are bankers ... it could be a long time before a creative solution and serious name is developed.
Meanwhile .. people will avoid the property thinking it is the "Las Vegas Hospital". Time for new executives ... sheesh.
