As of last week, there was a change made to the GPI scoring system. Federated Sports + Gaming Chief Information Officer Eric Faulkner informed PokerNews of the change last week:

Great article maximizing the Global league's index and minimizing the dropped players. I particularly liked the identification of the player that had the largest jump on the Index, Sean Getzwiller.
