Full Tilt Poker

According to a statement made by Groupe Bernard Tapie attorney Behnam Dayanim to Gaming Intelligence, the debts of several high-profile poker players to Full Tilt Poker are holding up the pending deal between the embattled poker room and GBT.

Dayanim told Gaming Intelligence that Phil Ivey, David Benyamine, Erick Lindgren, Mike Matusow and Barry Greenstein are among the players who owe $10 million to $20 million to Full Tilt Poker. That amount was discovered while GBT was conducting due diligence to learn more about Full Tilt Poker's financial situation.

“The diligence has revealed that the...

Seems to me this would be a good candidate for an episode of "American Greed". I was hopeful that US players would at least see some of their money back, now I am back to pretty much no chance. Taking these crooks to court isn't going to do much except make the crooked lawyers richer than they are. Maybe we in the US need to take a new look at the old "eye for an eye" concept.

The fact that FullTiltPoker Pros owe money to FullTilPoker is a pretty damning development but not insurmountable. If they want to accept FTP contracts at a lower rate, say, for three years that would be a creative way to bridge the amount.

Just about every story that comes out about Full Tilt is another example of why we need licensing and regulation in this country. And let's hope that the bodies that do it here in the U.S. aren't as incompetent as Alderney, who apparently doesn't bother to check things like solvency, management practices and integrity of player funds.

outrageous that FTP loaned huge amount of money to their mates which was in effect either company money or players money that was not theirs to loan. - should all be banned from being directors of any company.

I'm sorry, where in my FT terms of service did I authorize you to embezzle and convert my funds to personal uses? When did I agree to loan top-name professional poker players money? I do remember researching all the major sites and being assured that my funds were kept 'completely safe and secure' in segregated accounts. FT was a nice site to play on, but boy did their management practices stink. Amazing how a company associated with nearly every top professional with so much advice on how to properly manage bankrolls didn't bother to practice what they preached.

I have had a pending cash out from full tilt poker from 14 days before black Friday(April 15 2011), and they haven't replied to any of my inquiries of why I haven't received my money since black Friday. They sent one email 6 days before black Friday, assuring me my funds were safe and that they would get me my money as soon as possible. To date I have received no money or any emails since 6 days before black Friday.
