Nineteen players owe Groupe Bernard Tapie $16.5 million, Daniel Negreanu calls for old-school Vegas punishment for Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson, a former Zynga engineer is spilling some secrets over on reddit.com, and the Super Bowl was yet another super fail for the Pigskin Diaries.
Let’s get to it.
1. Pay that man his money
Borrowing money among friends -- or even acquaintances -- is far from unusual. A perfect example of this would be at a bar. It’s Friday night, you’re with two buddies, and it’s crowded. It would make absolutely no sense for all three of you to push your way to...
These loans is just another example of the clown management that FullTiltPoker had in place, tolerated by the poker-pro shareholders because of the loans they were able to obtain. Daniel Negreanu does not have to apologize to anyone for being outspoken on a subject that really needs airing out. The way people walk on tip-toes around the subject of AbsolutePoker / Ultimate Bet and the pro players Phil Helmuth and Annie Duke is weird because it is WORSE than FullTiltPoker. in the AP/UB scandal there is no real news that any money will ever be paid.
Ambassadors of Poker? Sure, why not ... but how about a worldwide body that can sanction pro-weasels like Hamilton, etc, etc by banning them from tournaments. It would mean that the WPT and the WSOP would have to agree to abide from edicts from a world body.
