You can only play if you first signed up to Poker.com via pokernews link. So in the future if you want to sign up to a new site make sure you do it via pokernews.com

I'm signing up with poker.com now and will deposit right after, I want to get in this tourny. When im creating account with Poker.com do I need to put some code in the blank for the COUPON field that is directly beneath the Nickname field? Somehow I think im not doing this right...I joined pokernews.com, I downloaded poker.com software from pokernews.com, then i joined poker.com(with or without some special code i dont know) then i make a deposit with poker.com of $50 lets say. WIll doing just that get me into this 10k tournament?

Gotdanuts, you signed up at Poker.com in June 2005 from a different site making you ineligible for this promotion. At this stage you have not and will not be issued a coupon, but I explained to PokerNews management that although you were a real money player already, it was through freeroll winnings and you only deposited for the first time in December. They might let you play, but probably not....
If there are any players that believe they are eligible for this tournament that have not been issued an entry coupon, contact me at kris@poker.com and I will investigate.
Have fun and good luck.

I appreciate this feedback GREATLY... I have no argument agaist the fact that all I did since June was play in freerolls.... however I did re-download and deposit through this site.. (this can and will be verified with Poker.com)
I'm sure you know that it is the site you deposited through that is what matters in order to collect my rake...
also you guys did leave me out of the last tournament at Noble for some inexplicable reason ...
Even though I feel I should be able to participate in the Poker.com tourney regardless..... I would consider us more than "even" if you were to grant me a coupon to the tourney..
Thank you

1. Re-downloading the software does absolutely nothing if you then use the same old login/account. PokerNews does not get credited with your sign-up simply because you reinstall the software.
2. If you had of re-downloaded the software and created a NEW account, that would be breaking the rules also, as you are not permitted to have multiple accounts at Poker.com.
I'm sorry but the promotion is clearly for new Poker.com players that orginate from PokerNews.com and make a deposit during the period of the promotion , as are all PokerNews freerolls that I can see.
If I give you an entry, shouldn't I then give one to every other new depositor at Poker.com this month regardless of how they found us? What is the difference between them and your case?
Rules are rules. PokerNews management have not asked me to give you a coupon and I don't believe they should as you are clearly not eligible.
Sorry....
