I was reading several posts here this morning as my mind wandered to simpler better times when not all sites were dedicated to ripping off the maximum dollar possible by any means, a time when simple honor and integrity still existed.
Perhaps most favoured among these memories would be of a site owned and operated by a fellow out of Los Angeles who was obviously an expatriate Englishman. It was a part time place which held daily pot limit tourneys at 5PM EST. At the time it was the 1st and only site to award English pounds to final table placers. Each week the winnings were accumulated for 5 days. Then 1st to 4th highs for the week were paid small amounts for their success.
The first cheque I received was a personal 1 from the owner accompanied by his business card with the following hand written message on the back of the card:- Vic Well played!
I deposited that cheque with some trepedation but neither it nor any subsequent 1s bounced. Subsequently economic pressures forced Dave to sell to some folks who I worked my 1st prop job in conjunction with- Big Bet Poker. Their attempt to go big failed and they closed. A sad end for a favorite memory.

Jack here,
Just read your posts in the "cheating" thread, and that sure adds weight to some instinctive conclusions that can be drawn by playing day in and day out..
You seem to still play, though, as I saw your post re the Titan tourney cancellation.
Some time ago, I was an early part of a forum called "10 Minute Win," which in itself was only partially valid, but it was looking at the patterns you've described. but in casino play.
Later the forum began to look at poker and went to a private group. At the time my desktop had crashed, and I was only getting to Kinko's every several days to check my e/m.
Yup, I missed the timed invitation to join — not once, but twice due to work/time issues and have always wondered what I missed seeing and have had to kind of muddle through witha few leads here and there.
Sorry 'bout the endless questions, but I'm looking for every little kernel of information, and you seem to have quite a few.
Happy holidays to ya, Anaconda, and many thanks.

Happy holidays to you Jack too!! I accepted an offer today to collaberate on a series with the major investigative reporter for the largest English language daily newspaper in Canada delivered coast to coast. The subject of the weekly series will be criminals and corruption control on line gaming-the largest criminal enterprise in known history with illegal profits in the billions annually. I get a by-line! They will provide in researching and voucher proofing the details the finest technical support available in Canada today. On the off chance anyone who sees this may have something to hide, I'd suggest selling out before the RICCO statutes get all your assets.

It would be great if this reporting could be seen in an online forum/website. Do you see that happening, and what do you expect the approximate time frame to be?
It would be highly interesting reading, I'm sure.
lol
BTW, you talk about a "doom switch." Is this where you can sit and get trash hands for what seems like forever? I see this often immediately after one or a couple winning sessions, be it tournament or ring game. If you're referring to something else, how do you define it?
Good luck on your new assignment. Let us know how we can see and read the results of your by-line career!
Should be fun!

Are you guys living on another planet. This industry is 10 times cleaner them most business done in America. Partypoker for one is a listed company and in the top 100 companies in the UK. They and all sites we link to from pokernews.com are 100% honest. Just cause you are not good enough to win online does not make it dishonest.
Do any investigation you like and post here only when there are facts and a major newspaper will back you up who is the person at that Canadian paper?
I could name at least 20 known players that make money playing online poker me included.

DOYLE BRUNSON --- THE GRAND OLD MAN OF POKER UNDER INDICTMENT FOR STOCK FRAUD IN OFFER TO PURCHASE WORLD POKER TOUR STOCK TAKES THE 5th IMMEDIATELY!!!!
CAN WE POST PICTURES OF THEIR MUG SHOTS HERE TONIO??
12-21-2005 03:03
IF YOU WANT TO STAND ON INTEGRITY SOAPBOX YOU BETTER RESPOND TRUTHFULLY TO THE KICKBACK QUESTION FOR EACH AND EVERY SITE YOU HAVE LINK TO!!!!
ANYTHING LESS THAN THE TRUTH AND EVERY LEGIT POSTER WILL KNOW YOU AND YOUR SITE FOR WHAT YOU REALLY ARE!!!!!

Anaconda, at least dont write in caps please, this is annoying and I find you funny
Do you realy think that any and I mean ANY site about poker could live on clean air?
this industry is making money, why should some1 do a charity site, just pay from their own pockets to writers, programers and designers? wake up
novadays NOTHING is for free.
Any of the CEO's you have named there are hiding because of cheating their players? I dont think so, if they have problems with taxes or other law stuff, but never cheat their players why would me, a online poker player, care about that? I play only on big sites that wont go broke anyway, even if they will be fined for smth.
12-21-2005 04:48
I won't use caps or big words. Your response to the character revealed of the poker execs in question and your ambivilance to illegal activity provided it doesn't impact you says soooo much about you and your kind I could scream in frustration. Let's play a game of supposin'-OK? Suppose there is no true random algorithim. That would mean it could be tinkered with by a person with the right expertise. It could be altered to target seats with hands, good and bad.
Software could be introduced to target accounts which would alert RNG to cash outs producing a player bad hand run. Thousands of player bot accounts-imaginary players could be created targeted by RNG with winning hands to collect major promo prizes or the majority of tourney prize money. Site shills could take over at final tables sucking up the major buy in proceeds. Identity theft could spring out as an offshoot business unrelated to the site itself. Who do you suppose would be more likely to commit these crimes as the opportunity arose--BILLY GRAHAM or ALREADY CONVICTED MULTIPLE FELONS??
12-21-2005 06:13
Suppose suppose suppose. Definition:
"To assume to be true or real for the sake of argument ....To believe, especially on uncertain or tentative grounds."
You sprout imaginary conditions and situations that have been written about in every Poker Forum since online poker was born. The fact that its has been written about before, does not lend weight to any argument or supposition you make.
Suppose the sun didnt come up tomorrow, suppose there really are aliens amongst us. OMG the sky is falling the sky is falling....oh and BTW the Earth really is flat.

OZ----I was making fun of Dzendobrist's lack of concern for the criminal records of the CEO's of Party Poker and Interpoker. He said he had no fear playing there since their criminal activities were for tax evasion not cheating poker players. He was wrong about that too but it doesn't really matter. My real target in those posts is TONY G. He is going to regret challenging me to debate in print the integrity of on line poker.
Will this site publish the mug shots of those CEOs taken as they were booked for the multiple felonies they were charged and convicted for, identifying them and the sites they run/ran??
12-21-2005 08:55
Anaconda before you post anymore can you send in your records on file with the police. Whats wrong with you many people win the sites make rake. I am surprised you are very thick, slow down and think about it.
How much does party poker make per day? well is close to 5 mill in rake, why would they risk anything they have 1000+ people in there company I have not seen one that has said hey we cheat as well. Its a great business and its great for good poker players. If you dont like it play off line. You should spend your time doing investigations on how drug companies behave.
