PokerNews CUP Austria 2008

Alain Wittwer started playing poker because “I saw it on television and found it fun… it looked like an easy way to earn money.” Twelve months on, the office employee now enjoys No Limit Texas Holdem and Pot Limit Omaha. He mostly plays poker online and says he has played “only one live tournament so far.” Alain also plays more ring games than tournaments. He admits his biggest poker success is “yet to come” and has aspirations to qualify for the 2008 World Series of Poker. After winning this €1,500 PokerNews Cup Austria Package, Alain felt “happy to have played” and celebrated by “[going] to bed immediately.” In between playing poker and watching it on television, the Italian is also a music DJ in his free time.
