Hanna Koivu is a perfect example of the increasing presence of women in the poker scene. Juggling a full time job as a civil engineer, Hanna still finds the time to perfect her craft online and has recently won herself a €1,500 PokerNews Cup Austria Package. Not bad considering she only started playing poker two years ago. “I watched the World Poker Tour on television and it seemed like fun,” explains Hanna. Her favourite variation of poker is No Limit Texas Holdem and she has a preference for tournaments over ring games. The Finn felt “happy and excited, of course!” about her win and proceeded to celebrate with her friends. Away from the tables, Hanna is also passionate about “swimming and music.” This will be Hanna’s first experience at a major poker tournament and her first visit to Austria.
