Jussi Vuoristo
Jussi Vuoristo is no stranger to poker. Having played poker for the past 39 years, it was only two and a half years ago that Jussi started getting into online poker. “It is a great way to spend time with friends,” explains the Finn in regards to some of the benefits of this much loved game. In between juggling work as a research scientist in Molecular Genetics, Jussi mostly plays poker online with No Limit Texas Holdem being his favourite variation. He also prefers tournaments over ring games. His passion for poker has won him numerous prizes including the opportunity to travel to St Kitts (2006 Caribbean Poker Classic), Australia (2007 PokerNews Cup Melbourne) and Johannesburg (2008 South African Poker Open). Although Jussi felt “rather excited” to have won this €1,500 PokerNews Cup Austria Package, he jokingly admits that “these trips are beginning to take too many of my annual leave days.” Jussi celebrated his win “with a decent cognac.” Outside of the poker scene, he describes himself as an outdoors person and enjoys “hunting, fishing and skiing.” Good luck to Jussi and the rest of Team PokerNews!
