Nelson Rodrigues started playing poker four years ago. “I saw it on television, tried it and loved it,” he explains. Currently, the IT Technician enjoys playing poker both live and online with a preference for tournaments. His favourite style of poker is No Limit Texas Holdem. Nelson has had enjoyed some success through out his poker career including winning multiple online tournaments and winning a package to last year’s PokerNews Cup in Australia. Unfortunately, Nelson couldn’t attend last year’s Cup so he is understandably excited about winning this one. When he won a €1,500 PokerNews Cup Austria Package, the Portugal native admits he did not celebrate his win, and is instead just “waiting to be in Austria to win the competition.” Nelson has other interests aside from poker including “playing handball, listening to almost any kind of music, going to the cinema and going out.” This will be Nelson’s first visit to Austria.
