Belgian student, Steven Labis has been playing poker for two and a half years. He started simply “for the fun of it” but has managed to reap considerable success including winning a free seat to the 2008 PokerNews Cup Austria. Steven mostly plays poker online but enjoys the occasional live game with his friends. His favourite styles of poker include No Limit Texas Holdem, 7 card stud and Pot Limit Omaha. Steven also has a preference for ring games over tournaments. When he won this €1,500 PokerNews Cup Austria Package, Steven felt “surprised.” He proceeded to celebrate his win with friends “in a bar.” Outside of the poker scene, Steven considers himself a sports enthusiast and counts “athletics” as one of his hobbies. This will be Steven’s first experience at a major poker tournament and his second visit to Austria. Congratulations to Steven for becoming the newest member of Team PokerNews.
