Downswings are a part of poker, especially for players grinding the live tournament circuit. Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is one of the most recognizable faces in poker, and he's often seen all over the world at live events. Downswings and being able to cope with them are two things that professional poker players must come to learn, or it could be what leads to their failure to succeed.
PokerNews' Kristy Arnett was able to chat with Grospellier at the recent European Poker Tour stop in Deauville about downswings and what he does to handle them. Grospellier says his passion for the game of poker helps him to deal with the downswings, stating that when you love the gave so much, you simply have to take with it the highs and the lows. He also mentions that a greater ability to cope comes with experience gained throughout the years. Check out more of what Grospellier has to say in the video below.
