Las Vegas sharks David Williams and Jean-Robert Bellande are on the rail awaiting to play in Day 1B. They are among the 40 or so alternates eagerly waiting to feast on the elusive "Eurodonks."

Author Tony Holden is playing in today's field. Holden penned one of my favorite poker books Big Deal and the follow up titled Bigger Deal. He remarked that with the exception of last year, a British player has won the EPT London. I suggested that he was due for a big score and could possibly be that player.

Unfortunate for Tony, the one and only Thor Hansen sat down to his immediate left. The Godfather of Scandinavian Poker is among several legendary European players in today's field.
