MacPhee Straightens Out

Ilari Tahkokallio and Kevin MacPhee mixed it up in another big pot.

Flop: {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} - Tahkokallio checked, and MacPhee bet 525,000. Ilari made the call.

Turn: {J-Clubs} - Tahkokallio again check-called, this time for 1.22 million.

River: {7-Clubs} - As interesting a river card as possible earned a third check from Tahkokallio. MacPhee made a 1.5 million value bet, and after a minute, Tahkokallio unhappily called. Kevin tabled {9-?} {7-?} for the turned straight, and Ilari mucked.

After stacking the big pot, MacPhee is back in front with 18.5 million to Tahkokallio's 10.1 million.

Ilari Tahkokallio checked the turn on the board of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Kevin MacPhee fired 525,000. Tahkokallio check-raised to 1.45 million and then MacPhee called.

The river was the {J-Spades} and both players checked. Tahkokallio tabled {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for an open-ended straight flush draw on the flop that didn't get there. MacPhee held {Q-?}{9-?} and won the pot to take back over the chip lead.

Ilari Tahks the Lead

Kevin MacPhee bet out on turn of the {6-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Spades} board and Ilari Tahkokallio flat-called. They saw an {A-Clubs} and river and MacPhee checked this time. Tahkokallio bet 900,000 and MacPhee thought about it briefly before calling - and then mucking when Tahkokallio turned over {A-?} {4-?} for two pair.

With that, Tahkokallio has snuck the chip lead away from MacPhee for the first time in this HU.

Tahkokallio - 15,500,000
MacPhee - 13 million

Slowdown

Back at the felt and our heads-upsers limp/checked their way to a {9-Spades} {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} flop. MacPhee made a minimum 200,000 bet, which Tahkokallio called.

They checked down the {10-Spades} turn and {A-Spades} river, and Tahkokallio turned over a king. MacPhee couldn't beat it and mucked, and Tahkokallio took the pot.

At this rate, this could take a while...
