Three Hands Three Wins For Petersen

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Mickey Petersen has come flying out of the blocks after their dinner break and has won the first three hands.

The first hand saw Team PokerStars Pro Pierre Neuville raised to 275,000 and Petersen called. The {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop saw Petersen check-call a 350,000 bet. The {Q-Spades} turn was checked by Petersen and Neuville checked behind after taking another look at his hole cards. The {3-Hearts} river prompted Petersen to fire a 500,000 bet and Neuville snap-folded.

The second hand saw Petersen open to 200,000 and Neuville call. The all red {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop was met by checks form both players. The {2-Clubs} turn saw both player check but both players seemed to like the {5-Clubs} as Neuville lead for 250,000 but instantly mucked as Petersen raised to 750,000.

FInally, on a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} Petersen checked, Neuville bet 315,000 and again instantly folded as Petersen check-raised to 685,000.

Just When You Thought It Was All Over….

Neuville back in the lead
Neuville back in the lead

It looked for all the world that Mickey Petersen had finally got a grip on this heads up match. He had come from behind to created a 2.1:1 chip lead and then this happened.

Neuville raised to 200,000 on the button and Petersen made the call. The flop was {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Petersen check-called a 250,000 Neuville c-bet. On the turn we saw the {9-Spades} and the same action ensued, this time for 600,0000. The final card was the {K-Diamonds}, and after Petersen checked, Neuville moved all-in for 1,300,000.

While Petersen was considering his move, Neuville took his glasses off and placed them on his head. Was this a show of strength or weakness? Petersen must have thought it was weakness because he made the call and Neuville showed him {9-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} for the flopped nuts and Petersen mucked his hand.

Neuville takes a small chip lead as we move into a 45-minute break here at EPT Copenhagen.

Petersen Gets His Chip Lead Back

It had been on the cards for a while now but now it has actually happened; Mickey Petersen has regained the chip lead.

He opened from the button and Pierre Neuville made the call. A flop reading {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop saw both players check but the {2-Diamonds} turn sparked some betting interest. Neuville initially checked, Petersen bet 130,000 and Neuville check-raised to 300,000. Petersen quickly called and the dealer got busy putting the {K-Hearts} out on the river.

Neuville checked again but no check-raise this time, instead he folded to Petersen's 400,000 bet.
