2010 NAPT High Roller Bounty Shootout

Day 1 Completed

Final Table Set for High Roller

Richey was the last one into the final table
Richey was the last one into the final table
Both flights are completed with the final elimination of Lee Markholt and the final table is set. Here's the seven players who made it complete with how many bounties they earned.

Scott Seiver (6)
Hoyt Corkins (5)
Faraz Jaka (4)
Joe Cassidy (4)
Brett Richey (3)
Peter Eastgate (2)
Ashton Griffin (2)

Each player making it through to the final table earned $75,000 for winning their table table. On top of that, each bounty was worth $5,000. Don't forget about the $100,000 up for grabs for the player who claims the most bounties. With a total of $30,000 in bounties still up for grabs and a first-place prize of $460,000, this should make for an exciting final table.

The remaining players will have a day off tomorrow and then return Thursday at 2:00 p.m. local time. We'll see you back here then at PokerNews for all the coverage.

Don't forget to check back here for the coverage of the Main Event final table tomorrow as well. See you then!

Richey $80,000 Richer

Brett Richey raised to 6,500, and Lee Markholt moved all in. Richey snap called and quickly tabled {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}. Not good news for Markholt and his {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}.

Flop: {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {4-Spades} - The flop certainly made things interesting. With Markholt and his Victory Poker rail calling for the {10-Diamonds} or {6-Diamonds}, Richey was willing to meet them half way. "I'll give you the {5-Clubs}," he said.

Turn: {J-Spades} - "Well, that's the {5-Clubs}," said Scott Seiver, since Markholt had picked up a gutshot but not a flush draw.

River: {Q-Spades} - That wasn't the eight or ten that Markholt needed to survive. Richey earned the $5,000 bounty for busting Markholt and $75,000 for winning his table.

Eastgate Moves On

After Peter Eastgate over the lead in the heads-up match in dramatic fashion a few moments ago, we checked back over on Isaac Haxton and Eastgate to find that the cards were turned face up in the middle of the table and the board laid out {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Eastgate held the {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair and Haxton held the {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The river card completed the board with the {3-Spades} and that ended things. Eastgate earned the final bounty at his table and a spot at the final table. He's the only member of Team PokerStars Pro that will be there.

Ashman Defeats Moneymaker

Moneymaker broke
Moneymaker broke
Ashton Griffin moved all in on the river of a {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {2-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {9-Spades} board in a massive pot. Chris Moneymaker made the call. And it was bad news for him. Ashton tabled {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} for aces full of sixes to best Moneymaker's pocket queens. Moneymaker had a few chips left after the hand.

Moneymaker got his short stack in with {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} against Griffin's {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. The {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} flop added three sevens to Moneymaker's three ace outs. He picked up two more outs with the {3-Spades} on the turn. But eight outs weren't enough, and the {4-Clubs} on the river sent Moneymaker packing. Ashton Griffin moves on to Thursday's final table.

How to Get There

Peter Eastgate and Isaac HAxton found all of the chips in the middle preflop with Eastgate at risk holding the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. He was all in for 49,900 against Haxton's {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop was huge for Haxton when it came {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and landed him in the joint. Eastgate stood from his chair and began packing his things up as the turn card was dealt the {A-Spades}. Things weren't over yet as Eastgate could hit a jack on the river for a higher straight.

A miracle was needed and a miracle is what came for Eastgate in the form of the {J-Hearts}. He showed us how to pull off the amazing resuck to win the hand after a dramatic turn and river and now has the chip lead with about 100,000 to Haxton's 75,000.

More Chips Richey

Lee Markholt limped the button and then Brett Richey raised to 6,500. Markholt made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Richey checked. Markholt checked behind. The turn card put the {10-Clubs} on the board Richey fired 7,500. Markholt made the call.

The river card completed the board with the {2-Hearts}. Richey fired 14,000 and Markholt went into the tank. Eventually, he folded his hand and Richey picked up the pot.

Habib Habusto

Hasan is gone.
Hasan is gone.
Hasan Habib moved all in for 24,900, and Chris Moneymaker called. Time for the big reveal.

Showdown
Habib: {A-Hearts} {10-Spades}
Moneymaker: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}

Moneymaker bolted from the tournament area as he has every time he's been involved in an all in today. With him safely hidden from the action, the dealer laid the {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Moneymaker came back in just in time to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Now he needed a queen, jack, or ten to eliminate Habib. And the river fell the {10-Clubs}, giving Habib a pair but making Moneymaker's runner-runner straight. Hasan was sent to the rail, and Moneymaker is now heads up with Ashton Griffin.

Richey Increases Lead

Lee Markholt checked the flop of {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} in a limped pot to Brett Richey. Richey bet 2,400 and then Markholt check-raised to 8,400. Richey called.

The turn came the {K-Spades} and Markholt fired 10,000. Richey slid a stack red T5,000 chips into the middle to put Markholt all in. Markholt tanked for a few minutes and then mucked his hand, dropped to about 34,000 chips.
