Guinther Makes a Believer Out of Katchalov

Level 4 : 400/800, 100 ante

Micah Raskin opened to 1,600 from early position, and he was called by both Eugene Katchalov and Jimmie Guinther, both in position.

The three men took a {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {J-Spades} flop, and Raskin knocked the table. Katchalov took the betting lead with 3,200, and only Guinther called to continue to the turn.

It was the {K-Diamonds}, and the action check-checked to the {7-Spades} river. Katchalov led out again now, firing 4,600 at the pot. After a quick pause to consider, Guinther raised to 13,700 total, and Katchalov spent a minute in the tank himself before surrendering his cards into the muck.

Pesek Takes From Sweeney

Joe Sweeney put in a raise on the button and Michael Pesek called form the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and both checked.

The turn fell the {3-Clubs} and Pesek bet 2,500, but Sweeney popped it to 9,000. A call from Pesek brought the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Both checked again as Pesek showed {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a wheel to win the pot.

Katchalov Catches Guinther's Bluff

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante

Eugene Katchalov opened to 1,500 from the cutoff, but was immediately popped to 4,000 by Jimmie Guinther on the button. Katchalov called and the flop came down {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Katchalov check-called a bet of 5,000. The {7-Hearts} turn was checked by both and the {A-Diamonds} followed on the river. Katchalov checked it to Guinther who fired 7,500. Katchalov called, happy to see Guinther tabled {J-}{8-}. The PokerStars Pro tabled {A-}{Q-} to win the pot.

Raskin Working The Four-Bet

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante

Scott Blackman raised to 1,500 in early position and found calls from Micah Raskin on the button and Eugene Katchalov in the big blind.

Flop: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Katchalov checked it to Blackman and he bet 2,200. Raskin popped it to 6,000, forcing Katchalov to get out of the way. Blackman responded with a three-bet to 12,200. Raskin didn't seem to mind, immediately four-betting to 25,000. Blackman went into the tank, but eventually gave it up.

Raskin upped his stack to about 59,000, while Blackman slipped to about 35,000.
