Baumstein Spikes a Three

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Scott Baumstein
Scott Baumstein

Shaun Deeb raised to 8,000 preflop only to have Scott Baumstein move all in for 62,000. Deeb called and the cards were turned over:

Baumstein: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Deeb: {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

There was an overwhelming chance of a chop, especially after the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop; however, the {3-Spades} on the turn left Deeb drawing dead and ensured Baumstein the double up to 128,400. Deeb dropped to 111,500.

Chen Wins From Deeb

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

On the flop of {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Shaun Deeb fired 12,000. Michael Binger thought for a tiny bit and then mucked to get out of the way before Andrew Chen was up to act. He made the call and brought the two players to the turn where the {J-Diamonds} fell.

Deeb fired 22,000 on the turn and stayed on the gas. Chen stuck around, making the call to see the {K-Diamonds} fall on the river. Deeb checked and Chen checked behind.

Chen opened the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Deeb mucked his hand.

New Chip Leader

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Michael Binger
Michael Binger

Shaun Deeb raised to 8,000 under the gun only to have Michael Binger make it 20,500 from the button. Deeb made the call and the two watched the flop come {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}.

Both players checked and the dealer burned and turned the {J-Spades}. At this point Deeb bet out 26,200 and Binger called behind. The {5-Spades} peeled off on the river and both players checked. Binger flipped {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and it was good enough as Deeb mucked. With that, Binger is the chip leader with 189,000.

Marko Neumann Eliminated in 5th Place

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Marko Neumann - 5th Place
Marko Neumann - 5th Place

Shaun Deeb raised to 6,500 from middle position and Marko Neumann moved all in from the small blind. Scott Baumstein reraised all in from the big blind and Deeb folded.

Neumann: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Baumstein: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades} and that was the end of the line for Neumann. He was eliminated in fifth place as Baumstein increased his stack to over 140,000 in chips.

Deeb Over-Bets River

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

With 22,000 chips in the middle and the final board reading {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Michael Binger and Marko Neumann checked to Shaun Deeb. He fired 25,500, an over-bet to the pot. Binger tanked for several minutes and then made the fold. Neumann folded right behind him. Deeb won the pot and now has over 200,000 chips, more than one-third of the chips in play.

Three Players to the Flop

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 6,500 under the gun and received calls from Michael Binger in middle position and Andrew Chen in the big blind. All three players proceeded to check the {9-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} flop and the dealer turned the {J-Hearts}.

Chen led out for 11,000, Deeb folded, and action was back on Binger. He followed Deeb's example and let Chen take down the 34,500 pot.
