The Hard Rock Tulsa RunGood Poker Main Event came to a close after three days of action. Sunday began with 58 hopefuls returning to play for the 36 spots that cashed. Periods of fast action defined the day with players busting in flurries and it was David ODB Baker that navigated to the final table and won the championship.

The field played down a final table by dinner time with a mix of pros in Baker and Cary Marshall and local players with John Reynolds, Jody Briscoe and Tai Du.

RunGood pros had a good showing with Ben Reason and Justin Gardenhire just missing out on the final table and Jose Montes, Mina Greco and Ray Henson all making deep runs in the money.

Baker earned the first knockout of the final table when Shelby Fall moved in with queen high. Baker called with an ace, it held and Miller was out.

A couple hands later Marshall knocked out Leslie Hallaway when she ran into kicker problems. She shoved her short stack with {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Marshall called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and paired his queen on the flop.

Marshall picked up another elimination when Joe Ferguson shoved with pocket fives. Marshall had an ace, paired it on the flop and sent Ferguson to the rail.

Briscoe was the next elimination when he shoved with ace king and Reynolds called with pocket deuces. Briscoe never improved and was eliminated.

Five-handed play stalled and they played quite a while without an elimination. Marshall was the next out when ran a failed bluff on Reynolds, even saying, "C'mon finish me off," while Reynolds was in the tank.

Du, an Oklahoma attorney, was eliminated making a hero call when Baker shoved with sixes out of the small blind. Du missed the board holding {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and his exit prompted chop talks between the remaining three players.

Baker held 2.4 million, Reynolds had 1.9 million and Stephan Guy was the short stack with 1.1 million when the ICM calculator came out. The three liked the numbers, shook hands and Baker won his first RunGood trophy.

The tour picks up and travels to Harrah's Kansas City with a week of action on Tuesday and the Main Event kicking off on Friday. Keep PokerNews bookmarked to follow all the RunGood action.
