Jesse Rockowitz min-raised from under the gun, Sharon Helldorfer moved all in on his direct left, and Prabhakar Thonduru re-shoved on her direct left. The action folded back to Rockowitz, who snapped it off.
All three players tabled monsters:
Rockowitz:
Helldorfer:
Thonduru:
The flop changed little, but the on the turn took away one of Thonduru's outs. Helldorfer could still doubled with any of the two kings remaining in the deck.
Miraculously, the spiked on the river, giving Thonduru a set of queens. Helldorfer was eliminated in 16th place, while Rockowitz raked in a small side pot.
Sharon Helldorfer open-shoved her last 103,000 from late position, and Monte Gilley re-shoved from the small blind.
Helldorfer:
Gilley:
Helldorfer held as the board ran out , and Gilley was left with just 16,000.
On the very next hand, he was all in, and both Narunat Pansuntorn and Dick Hanley called. The two checked it down as the board came , but before Pansuntorn could check the river, Gilley announced, "two pair."
Pansuntorn fired out a bet, Hanley folded, and Gilley showed . Pansuntorn had him beat with however, and Gilley was eliminated.
Narunat Pansuntorn open-shoved his last 134,000 holding , and Cary Marshall looked him up with . Pansuntorn spiked a pair of queens on the flop, and held as the turn and river came , respectively.
Prior the the redraw, Ping Liu and Cary Marshall were heads up on a board of . Marshall fired 200,000, which basically put Liu all in, and Liu folded two eights face up.
Marshall showed , and happily raked in the pot.
After the hand, Liu informed us that he had raised preflop, and Marshall called from the blinds. Marshall check-called a 30,000-chip bet on the flop, and check-raised to 160,000 on the turn after Liu fired 60,000. Liu called.
On the river, Marshall led for 200,000, and that's when Liu folded.
Gordon Vayo open-jammed on the button for his last 133,000. John Deng called out of the small blind, and the hands were opened.
Vayo:
Deng:
The board ran out , and Vayo was eliminated.
At an adjacent table, Shoaib Makani was all in and at risk with , but Jesse Rockowitz had him crushed with . Rockowitz held as the board came , and Makani hit the rail.
We also lost Craig Gold during these hands, and suddenly, we're down to 18 players.
After losing a big pot to Sam McGarth during the break, in which McGarth rivered a set of deuces, Mark Bonsack open-jammed his last 100,000 or so. McGrath looked him up with . Bonsack was behind with , and the board ran out , eliminating him from the tournament.
