Rouhani's Domination Continues

Stud-8

Showing {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {K-Clubs}, Rouhani forces Tom Chambers to fold his {4-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. "I wanted more chips, buddy!" he cries.

---------

His wish soon comes true as he absolutely cripples Miami John Cernuto, scooping a stud hand with a flush on seventh street -- Cernuto, who had {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} up, mucked.

---------

Omaha-8

Down to just 50,000 after losing that hand, Cernuto raised preflop from the small blind and Rouhani called -- they actually agreed all in in for Cernuto preflop, and flipped their cards.

Rouhani: {5-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Cernuto: {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {4-Spades} {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {6-Clubs} {7-Hearts}

They chop it up, and Cernuto stays in, hanging by the skin of his teeth.

Zhu Wins Crucial Pot

Omaha-8

Refusing to die, Zhu doubled through Rouhani.

Rouhani raised the cutoff and Zhu called from the button. Zhu bet all in on the {2-Spades} {3-Spades} {4-Spades} flop out of turn; Rouhani decided to call anyway, muttering, "I have to call," and then, "Ahh, I get what I deserve," as Zhu scoops the pot on the river.

Zhu: {7-Spades} {6-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {2-Clubs}
Rouhani: {K-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {8-Spades}

Turn: {10-Spades}

River: {6-Clubs}

Zhu Loses Crucial Pot

Omaha-8

With blinds of 10,000 and 20,000, John Cernuto raises it up to 40,000, before being called by Yueqi Zhu in the small blind and Tom Chambers in the big.

A {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop sees Chambers bet out for 20,000, Cernuto fold and Zhu call.

Chambers also bets the {10-Clubs} turn, this time 40,000, and again Zhu makes the call.

Both men then check the {10-Diamonds} river, the lack of any low giving the whole pot to Chambers who wins with {9-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Zhu held {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} and is now down to the felt with just 60,000 in chips.

Zhu and Rouhani Clash Again

Omaha-8

Still just keeping his head above water, Yueqi "Rich" Zhu has doubled through Farzad Rouhani. Blind on blind, Rouhani asked to see the size of Zhu's stack before he decided what to do preflop. He opted to call, and then bet out the {9-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop. Zhu raised, and Rouhani called.

"How much?" Rouhani enquired, before checking the {A-Clubs} turn. Zhu stuck in his last 51,000, and Rouhani called.

Zhu: {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {4-Spades}
Rouhani: {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}

"Oh no," sighed Rouhani, "I need some low."

River: {6-Clubs}

"Not that kind of low."

Zhu doubled up to around 210,000, although he lost a few of them back the next hand, calling Tom Chambers as far as fourth street in a stud hand.

Zhu Survives

Omaha-8

Yueqi Zhu must be a closet Star Trek fan, as he's been a real "cling on" of late, recently finding himself all in on the turn of a {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} board with only Grag Pappas standing in his way.

Pappas made the call and showed {5-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Zhu had {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

"Two of clubs would be my perfect card," announced Pappas.

"Bingo!" he exclaimed as the {4-Clubs} hit the river, but it wasn't not a scoop, Pappas taking the high with a flush, but losing out to Zhu's A-3-4-6-7 low.

Staying Alive

Omaha-8

To quote a famous Bee Gees' LP, Yueqi Zhu is stayin' alive, committing a large proportion of his stack on a {7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Fortunately for Zhu, Chambers released his hand.
