Sebastian Moving Up

Sebastian Ruthenberg has been on the up-and-up during this heads-up match. After picking up that massive pot, he's been chipping away at Chris Ferguson in each hand.

He does let Ferguson win the occasional small pot, but all the decently-sized ones are being shipped to the German.

Ruthenberg - 2,000,000
Ferguson - 610,000

Massive Pot

The two remaining players just played the largest pot of the day, by a big margin. Ruthenberg and Ferguson got bets in on every street and went to showdown with 1,400,000 in the middle.

Ruthenberg (X) (X) {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {A-Spades} (X)
Ferguson: (X) (X) {5-Spades} {5-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {K-Clubs} (X)

The players got one bet each in on third and fourth streets, two bets on fifth and sixth streets, and one more bet apiece on seventh. When the dust settled, it was Ruthenberg who tabled the winner. His down cards were {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, making him the winning trip aces. Ferguson flashed the case {5-Diamonds}, which meant he had trips of his own. It wasn't good enough though, and Ferguson shipped the pot and the chip lead over to his opponent. Jesus is now back down to 825,000.

Heads Up

We're now heads up. The German, Sebastian Ruthenberg, will be going for his first bracelet while Chris Ferguson is going for his sixth.

Ferguson - 1,600,000
Ruthenberg - 1,150,000

Bob Lauria Eliminated in 3rd Place ($125,737)

Bob Lauria - 3rd Place
Bob Lauria - 3rd Place
Bob Lauria was down to his last few thousand after the action got capped on third between him and Chris Ferguson. When the two players officially got all in with Lauria at risk, Lauria held trip eights against Ferguson's pair of kings.

Ferguson made two pair on fifth. From there, neither player improved until the final card when Ferguson rolled over a ten to make a full house, {10-?} {10-?} {10-?} {K-?} {K-?} {8-?} {2-?}.

Lauria was eliminated and earned over $125,000 for his efforts.

Updated Chip Counts

Bob Lauria has gotten dangerously low, but his two opponents are neck and neck in a race for first. Here's how they stack up at this moment.

Chris Ferguson - 1,270,000
Sebastian Ruthenberg - 1,150,000
Bob Lauria - 250,000

Crazy Sixes

Bill Lauria was all in again, for the second hand in a row. This time, all the money went in on fourth street. When the betting was complete, the hands were turn over and the rest of the cards dealt out:

Ruthenberg: ({10-?} {5-?}) {5-?} {10-?} {A-?} {4-?} {A-?}
Lauria: ({A-?} {6-?}) {8-?} {6-?} {2-?} {6-?} {2-?}

Lauria picked up a low draw on fifth street, but he didn't need it. Why chop when you can win the whole pot? Lauria drew a nice {6-?} on sixth street, and capped it off by boating up on seventh. He doubles up again, and is back to 245,000. Still very low, but he's hanging in there.
