Thanks for tuning in today. We'll be back at 2:00 pm PDT Thursday for Day 2. When the players return, they will have new seat assignments, and will be playing nine-handed for the duration of the event. By this time tomorrow, we should have our final table. Until then!
While the bubble was bursting across the room, Sarah Bilney was intently debating her decision.
From early position, she puts in a preflop raise to 3,500. Action folds around to the big blind, Claudio Fonseca, who reraises it to 8,900. Bilney makes the call.
The flop comes . Fonseca bets out all in, and Bilney goes into the tank. After several minutes, she does indeed make the call, putting her tournament life at risk with . Fonseca tables the , and is behind.
The turn rags off, , but the river card is not what Bilney was looking for. The fills the gutshot straight for Fonseca and sends Bilney packing.
Because we were hand for hand, and two players were eliminated, Sarah Bilney and Christian Iacobellis will share the prize money for 153rd place, $3,476.
He finished one out of the official money, but Christian Iacobellis didn't care.
One hand before busting out No. 154, Iacobellis was challenging his tablemates to a heads-up match online.
Iacobellis, who plays online as "da_professional," called and was all in for 3,900 on the big blind with after Kevin O'Boyle raised on the button to 5,000.
O'Boyle showed and the board of was no help to Iacobellis.
"I'm gonna go play high stakes on Full Tilt to get my money back," Iacobellis said.
Because another player was eliminated at a different table on the same hand, Iacobellis will split $3,476 with that player — bubble girl Sarah Bilney.
They're five away from the money and will play hand for hand until they get there. There will be no level change and when they get down to 153, they'll bag up and we'll pick it up on Day 2.
Seated under the gun, John Phan puts up a raise to 3,600. J.C. Tran makes the call from late position. When it gets back around to the big blind, he raises all in for a total of 16,100. John Phan then re-pushes all his chips, 22,500 of them to be exact.
J.C. Tran pauses for several minutes, mutters, "Pocket pair," and tosses his cards into the muck. The hands are shown down, with Phan's way out in front of the at-risk player's .
The board improves Phan further when it comes , making him the nut flush and sending another player out to the rail early.
From the adjacent table, Theo Tran gets involved in the post-hand action: "Hey J, what you got?" he asks.
After a flop of , Alex Bolotin moved all in over the top of his opponent with . His opponent had top two pair, but the turn brought the and the river was the and Bolotin raked in the pot of almost 35,000 to move to 48,000.
