Michael Pedley Doubles Up

Michael Pedley pushed all in preflop from UTG and the small blind called. Pedley's {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds} were racing with {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. The board ran out jack-high and Pedley's nines held up, doubling his stack to 45,000.

Shoulda Gone Scissors

A cocktail server came over to Table 6 to distribute some libations to Martin Klaser and Robert Altman. As if there wasn't enough gambling going on, the two decided to Roshambo for the tip.

First throw: Both player went rock. Push

Second throw: Klaser went paper, covering Altman's rock.

Altman=Tip Boy.

Wat a Double-Up

Brandon Adams had just doubled-up Michael Watson. All the chips went in after the turn came out showing an {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {10-Diamonds} board.

Upon seeing Watson's {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, Adams declared that he was drawing dead and was reluctant to show his {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. The river came {8-Diamonds} meaning Adams is back down to 264,000, whereas Watson has moved up to 114,000.

Patience Rewarded

Eric Bremond had been playing fairly tightly for most of the day. Finally, the time had come to act.

A middle-position player raised to 3,200, then Bremond reraised to 12,000 from late position. It folded around to Eric Crain in the big blind, who had a whopping 350,000-plus chip stack. Crain bumped it up to 45,000. The middle-position player folded, and Bremond instantly pushed all in for an addition 68,000.

"Holy cow! Oops!" said Crain. But he called nonetheless.

Crain {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Bremond {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The community cards were dealt -- {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Hearts} -- and Bremond had doubled up to 220,000. Crain tumbles back down to 225,000.

Garner Flops The Ace

The button opened with a raise to 4,000, before Mark Garner popped it up to 19,000 from the small blind. The action was then with Jeff Williams in the big blind who made a reraise to 45,000 total. The button folded and Garner flat-called.

They took a flop of {A-?}{5-?}{9-?} and Garner led out for 25,000. Williams then moved all in and Garner called for his last 50,000 chips.

Williams showed pocket queens, but Garner had flopped a three-outer with his {A-?}{Q-?}.

The turn was a {5-?} and the river a {3-?} as Williams nose-dives to 55,000 with Garner now up to 235,000 chips.

Norton KOs Chambers

A series of bets preflop saw Donald Norton all in for 56,000 total versus Chris Chambers, who had Norton covered.

Chambers showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, and Norton {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop of {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} took away his ace outs, but did give him a shot at Broadway. But the {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {7-Hearts} on the river sealed Chambers' fate. Norton moves up to 145,000 after that hand.

Couldn't You Have A-K?

Tony Hachem
Tony Hachem
An early-position player raised to 4,000, Tony Hachem called from the cutoff and the small blind called. The flop was {K-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. The action was checked to Hachem, whose 8,000 bet was met with folds all around. Hachem showed {A-?} {A-?}.

"Couldn't one of you have {A-?} {K-?} ?" he quipped as he dragged the pot. Hachem is now up to 110,000.
