Mike Sowers Eliminated in 4th Place ($194,931)

Mike Sowers
Mike Sowers
Mike Sowers pushed all in from the button for 1.55 million and got a fairly quick call from Fabian Quoss in the big blind.

Sowers:{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Quoss {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The race didn't last long as Quoss flopped a set with the {2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}. The hand was over when the turn brought the {K-Spades} and the river was a meaningless {2-Spades}.

Sowers left in fourth place and earned $194,931 while Quoss solidified his chip lead and now sits on a stack of 6.4 million.

Quoss the Bully

Thomas Keller raised it up to 210,000 from the button with chip leader Fabian Quoss moving all in from the small blind. A huge overbet by Quoss as he starts to bully the table with his big stack, but it got the desired result as Keller let his hand go.

Sowers Wins a Small Pot

When Mike Sowers limped into the pot from the small blind, Thomas Keller checked his option and we saw a flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Sowers then check-called Keller's 60,000 bet, and both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. When the river brought the {3-Hearts}, Sowers took the lead betting 105,000 and Keller folded.

Lemke Wins Blind Battle

In a battle of the blinds, Fabian Quoss limped from the small blind and Brian Lemke checked his option in the big blind.

The board of {3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} was checked to the turn where Quoss fired 100,000. Lemke made the call and the {10-Spades} hit the river. Quoss checked and then called the 150,000 bet from Lemke.

Lemke tabled {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a pair of kings to take it down.

Kicker Problems Leave a Sowers Taste

Mike Sowers raised to 155,000 from the button and got called by Fabian Quoss in the big blind.

Both players checked the flop of {5-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and the turn of {9-Diamonds}. When Quoss checked the {2-Hearts} on the river, Sowers bet 180,000 and Quoss called, turning over {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and out-kicking Sowers' {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Lika Gerasimova Eliminated in 5th Place ($142,688)

Lika Gerasimova - 5th Place
Lika Gerasimova - 5th Place
Play folded around to Lika Gerasimova in the small blind and she moved all in for her last 180,000 chips. Fabian Quoss insta-called in the big blind.

Gerasimova: {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Quoss: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the tens of Quoss hold up to end the courageous tournament of Gerasimova in 5th place. She'll collect an impressive $142,688 for a tremendous tournament.

Sowers More Than Doubles

Mike Sowers
Mike Sowers
In a hand where Brian Lemke open raised to 165,000 from the cutoff and Mike Sowers moved all in for 905,000 from the button, Lika Gerasimova re-shoved for nearly 1.1 million. When Lemke folded, the hands were shown.

Gerasimova: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Sowers {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

When the flop came {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Sowers took the lead, but still had a sweat when the turn brought a flush draw with the {9-Spades}. The {6-Diamonds} ended the drama though as Sowers chipped up to nearly 2 million while Gerasimova was left with just 180,000.

Three-Way Action is Good for Keller

Lika Gerasimova raised to 160,000 from under the gun and got called by Brian Lemke on the button and Thomas Keller in the big blind.

When the flop came {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Keller bet 350,000 and pushed both Gerasimova and Lemke out of the hand.
