Barch Takes the Lead

Tex Barch
Tex Barch

Nenad Medic opened the pot with a 60,000-chip raise under the gun and John Barch called on the button. The blinds released.

The flop came out {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Nenad check-called a 125,000-chip bet from Barch.

The turn was a {4-Spades} and Barch made a 414,000-chip bet after Medic checked. Medic eventually called. The river card was {j-Clubs} and both players checked.

Barch tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} for kings full of jacks and Medic mucked his hand.

Barch is now up to 2,025,000 and Medic slipped to 765,000.

Wake Up Danny!

Action folded to Trai "Danny" Dang who completed from the small blind. Nenad Medic checked his option and the dealer flopped {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Dang led for 50,000 and Medic called.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and Dang led again - this time for 150,000. Medic thought for a bit longer this time, but again called.

Both players checked the {8-Diamonds} on the river and Dang quickly tabled his cards, {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}, for a rivered full house. Medic mucked and Dang raked in the 250,000-chip pot to chip up to 932,500. Medic slipped to 1,420,000.

Nuts vs Nuts = Chop

Trai "Danny" Dang opened from the button and John "Tex" Barch was his only customer in the big blind.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Spades} and Barch check-called 150,000 from Dang.

Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} on the turn, and Barch led for 400,000 after the {10-Hearts} rivered. Dang thought for a bit before moving all in and Barch called immediately.

Barch showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades} for the broadway and Dang showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} for broadway as well.

There were over 1,500,000 chips in the middle but the massive pot was chopped.

"I'm here baby!"

Joining the rail now is 2008 November Niner David "Chino" Rheem. He came running around the corner yelling:

"I'm here baby! Wake up Danny (Dang)!"

As you can tell he is here to rail his friend Trai "Danny" Dang.

"This s*** could take a while," he said. "That's ok though."

Yes, Chino, this could take a while.

One for the Shorty

Klinghammer Thibaut has been short since four-handed began and has been very patient at the table.

In a recent hand Nenad Medic limped in from under the gun, Thibaut completed from the small blind and Trai Dang checked his option.

All the players checked the flop ({K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}) and the turn ({4-Clubs}). After the {3-Spades} rivered Thibaut led for 40,000. Dang got out of the way and Medic called.

Thibaut showed {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for eights full of fours and took down the pot to chip up to 775,000 chips.
