Slowing Down

The action is really slowing down over here. Trai "Danny" Dang just closed his eyes promping John "Tex" Barch to blurt, "Wake up Danny!"

'Wake up Danny' is one of Dang's manny nicknames, and it's the first thing many friends on the rail have said to him.

Tex Straightens Out Medic

Nenad Medic limped from under the gun, John "Tex" Barch limped his button, Klinghammer Thibaut folded his small blind and Trai Dang checked his option.

The dealer flopped {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the action checked to Barch who bet 60,000. Dang folded, but Medic called.

Both players checked the {A-Spades} on the turn and Medic checked a third time after the {8-Hearts} rivered. Barch quickly reached for chips and bet 80,000. Medic tanked momentarily before painstakingly making the call.

"Straight," Barch said as soon as Medic's chips hit the felt.

Indeed his {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} straightened out on the river and he was shipped the 200,000-chip put to push back over a million chips.

Another Showdown!

Nenad Medic completed in the small blind and John "Tex" Barch checked his option.

Both players checked the flop and turn, and the board looked like this: {J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Medic led for 30,000 and Barch quickly called.

"Two pair," Medic said.

Barch quickly showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} followed by {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a set of queens, Medic mucked and Barch won the pot.

Medic Looses Some Gas

Nenad Medic limped in in the small blind and John Barch popped it for an additional 20,000 chips. Medic called.

The flop ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Medic check-called a 60,000-chip bet from Barch.

The turn card was a {a-Hearts} and Medic check-folded to a 200,000-chip bet.

In the very nex hand...

Medic opened the pot with a 55,000-chip raise on the button and Klinghammer Thibaut called in the big blind.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and both player checked. The turn brought the {7-Spades} to the table and Medic check-called a 70,000 bet from Thibaut. The river card was a {9-Spades} and Medic folded to a 110,000-chip bet from his opponent.

Thibaut showed a {9-Clubs} for a pair of nines.

Medic now has 1,246,000 chips.

Five Hands, Two Flops, No Turns

Action has been a bit slow since returning from break. We've only seen two flops in five hands and they both went bet, fold.

Maybe we're just used to a lot of action happening since more than half the players busted in the first two hours of play today.

Layne Flack

The always entertaining Layne Flack has joined us on the rail. He is enjoying some adult beverages and shouting various, random things.

'Let the bald guy announce' was probably our favorite.
