JJ Liu - 3rd Place
JJ Liu - 3rd Place

James Dempsey raised to 60,000 preflop, and JJ Liu potted. Dempsey moved all in and she called all in. All the action took place in under a minute, and they flipped 'em up without wasting any time.

Showdown
Liu: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Dempsey: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The flop couldn't have been any better for Dempsey. It came {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Spades}, and he took the lead with top pair and a flush draw. Liu was down to one out. The neighboring tournament was let out on break and surged the table to see what the commotion was all about. Dempsey's fans kept up the cheering as the {a-Clubs} fell on the turn to give him two pair and the {6-Spades} on the river upgraded him to an unnecessary flush. "Bracelet, bracelet!" they cheered as JJ stood up to leave.

She wasn't able to win her first bracelet, but the tournament veteran added $86,512 to her $2.1 million in lifetime cashes. This was Liu's fourth WSOP final table.
