Another 10 levels are in the books of Event #1, the $500 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em. Day 2 started with 77 players remaining from the initial field of 850. Though the event was scheduled to last two days, a third will be needed to determine who will capture the coveted gold bracelet.

Holding the overnight chip lead is Sean Drake with 1,058,000. For much of the day Drake kept quiet and stayed in the middle of the pack. However, that was not the case when the final table was reached as he won several key pots to vault to a sizable lead.

Here are the chip counts heading into Day 3:

Drake Increases His Chiplead

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Our current chipleader, Sean Drake, raised to 45,000 on the button and was called by Christopher Perez in the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Perez checked the action over to Drake who bet 67,000. Perez raised to 138,000 only to have Drake go all in. Perez went into the tank for quite awhile before reluctantly folding his hand.

Perez now has around 325,000 while Drake sits with 1,150,000.

Daniel Quach Eliminated in 5th Place ($17,835)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Daniel Quach - 5th place
Daniel Quach - 5th place

Action folded to Daniel Quach on the button who pushed all in for his last 82,000. Sean Drake pondered for a bit before calling from the big blind.

Quach: {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Drake: {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} keeping Quach in the lead but the {j-Spades} fell on the turn to give Drake the advantage. The {3-Clubs} came on the river sealing Quach's fate and eliminating him in 5th place. He nets a $17,835 cash for his efforts.

Baker Regains Some Ground

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

From under the gun, Sean Drake made it 45,000 and was called by Jason Baker from the big blind. The flop fell {J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Baker checked to Drake who continued for 55,000 but was called by Baker. The turn brought a {Q-Clubs} and it went check-check. Baker checked once again when the {Q-Spades} fell on the river and Drake threw out a 75,000 bet which Baker called. Drake flipped up {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} for Broadway but was bested by the {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Baker for queens full of kings.

This hand brought Baker back up to roughly 585,000 in chips.

Falcaro Doubles Through Baker

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Baker raised to 70,000 from the button and Claudio Falcaro re-raised all in from the big blind. Baker made the call and found that his {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was ahead of Falcaro's {a-Spades}{4-Spades}. The flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} gave Falcaro a straight draw, but the {a-Hearts} on the turn gave him top pair. The {k-Spades} came on the river and Falcaro doubled up.

Falcaro now has around 655,000 while Baker, who earlier had a huge chip lead over the other players, now sits at 480,000.

Drake made the call and they saw the {2-Spades} fall on the turn. Perez bet out again, this time for 88,000. Drake then raised to 188,000 and Perez tanked for a bit before deciding to fold his hand.

After the hand Perez was down to 515,000 and Drake was up to around 750,000.

Quach Hanging On

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With his stack slowing disappearing, Daniel Quach needed to make a move. He recently shoved his last 47,000 chips into the pot and his all in was called by Jason Baker.

Quach: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Baker: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Quach got a much needed double up to increase his stack to 128,000.
