Waxman Gives Up

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Bradley Helm raised preflop to 50,000 from the cutoff, Matt Waxman and Francesco Barbaro called from the button and small blind respectively to see a flop of {K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Barbaro checked, Helm bet 25,000 and Waxman called with Barbaro folding.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and Helm bet 50,000 which sent Waxman into the tank, the latter eventually choosing to give it up.

Waxman lost the pot after that as well, getting check-raised by Kostas Kalathakis on a {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and reluctantly folding. Nevertheless, Waxman, Kalathakis and Barbaro are making clear ground between themselves and the other four players at this moment.

Cameron Mckinley: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Shark Fin Soup

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Humberto Brenes is down to less than 200,000 after losing a pot to Francesco Barbaro. Brenes has raised preflop from UTG and Barbaro called in the big blind to see a {9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, both players checked before Barbaro fired 50,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river. Brenes called him down but couldn't beat his opponent's {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} for the flopped straight.

Deveronica Short Again

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Michael Deveronica opened to 50,000 on the button and Kostas Kalathakis made it 75,000 from the small blind. Deveronica called to see a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Kalathakis continued with another bet of 25,000.

Deveronica looked over his hand and shook his head, "You're freerolling me..." He then folded {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{J-}{J-} face up to leave himself with less than 100,000 remaining.

Waxman, Barbaro at it Again

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Matthew Waxman raised it up in middle position and Francesco Barbaro who was next to act called. The flop came {J-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} and Waxman checked. Barbaro put out a bet but got faced with a check raise from Waxman. Barbaro called the bet as well as Waxman’s {7-Diamonds} turn bet. On the {J-Diamonds} river, it went bet, then raise and ended with a Waxman call. Barbaro showed {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for quads while Waxman held {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} for the low but a nut flush that lost on the river as the players chopped it up.

Waxman the Hero

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

In a three way pot, Matt Waxman proved a hero calling two streets in a three bet pot against Francesco Barbaro before both checked the river of a {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} board.

Barbaro turned over {A-}{2-}{6-}{8-} and wasn't beaten by Waxman's mere {A-}{2-}{7-}{7-} for a pair of sevens.
