Pechie Losing Serious Ground

Justin Pechie was up to 1,600,000 at one point in the last 20 minutes, but he has now lost a big chunk of that, and the chip lead. One of the hands where he gave alot of his chips to Jordan Rich went as follows.

Pechie raised it up in the cutoff, and Rich re-raised on the button. Pechie called and the two saw a flop of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Pechie checked it, Rich bet, Pechie check-raised and Rich called. The turn came {j-Diamonds} Pechie bet, Rich raised and Pechie called. The river came {2-Spades} and Pechie checked one last time, Rich bet one last time, and Pechie called one last time.

Rich showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Pechie threw his hand into the muck. Pechie is down to around 980,000 after the hand and the other chip counts are as follows.

Pechie Finally Loses A Hand

It seemed for a while that Justin Pechie was unbeatable after the dinner break, but he has finally lost some of his chips in a pot to Jordan Rich. Rich put in two bets from under the gun, and it folded all the way to Pechie in the big blind, who made the call. The flop came out {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and Pechie checked. Rich bet out, and Pechie decided to put in a raise. Rich call, and the turn came the {2-Clubs}. Pechie bet out this time, and Rich call to see a river. That card was the {10-Clubs}, and both players checked. RIch showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and it was good enough to take the pot.

Jacqmin and Katchalov checked down a board of {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and Eberle showed {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Pechie Continues To Run Over The Table

Justin Pechie
Justin Pechie

Justin Pechie has taken control here after the dinner break and is up to 1,600,000.

In this hand against Eugene Katchalov, Pechie raised in early position and Katchalov called from the big blind. The flop came down {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} Katchalov checked, Pechie bet out, and Katchalov called. The turn came {8-Clubs} Katchalov again checked, Pechie bet out and Katchalov called. The river came {5-Spades} Katchalov checked, Pechie again bet and this time Katchalov angrily tossed his cards into the muck.

The very next hand, Pechie raised it up under the gun, Dale Eberle re-raised on the button, and Stephen Bass called in the big blind. Pechie called the raise and the three saw a {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Bass checked, Pechie bet, Eberle raised, and both players called to see the {8-Diamonds} turn. Bass and Pechie checked to Eberle who bet and both players called. The river came {9-Clubs} and Bass bet out, Pechie raised, Eberle angrily folded, Bass re-raised, Pechie re-raised once more and Bass was all in. Both players showed {q-}{j-} and they chopped the pot with the straight. Eberle fell to only 180,000 after the hand

One hand later Eberle raised it up in the cutoff, Bass re-raised from the small blind, and Pechie re-raised again from the big blind. Both players called and they saw the flop of {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Bass checked, Pechie bet, Eberle folded and Bass called to see the {2-Diamonds} on the turn. Again, Bass checked, Pechie bet, and Bass called. The river was the {4-Spades} and once again, Bass checked, Pechie bet, and Bass called. Pechie showed {q-}{q-} for a flopped set to take down the pot.

Pechie is up around 1,600,000 and after that last hand Bass is down to only 200,000. With some real short stacks at the table now, we are likely to lose some more players very soon.

Bass Belted By Pechie

Justin Pechie has been on an absolute tear since returning from a dinner break, and this was another hand that was a part of his rise to the top of the leader board. Stephen Bass raised, and Pechie put in three bets next to act. Bass called, and they took a flop of {9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Bass check called a bet form Pechie, and they took a turn of {7-Diamonds}. Once again, Bass check called, and the river came the {q-Hearts}. For a third time, Bass check called, and Pechie showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a full house. Bass mucked his hand, dropping him to under 300,000, while Pechie continues his hot streak post dinner.

Eberle Slipping, Pechie Thriving

Dale Eberle and Justin Pechie are two players that have been going in opposite directions since returning from dinner break, and that is due largely to big pots that they've played together. In the first hand, Eberle raised preflop and got a call from Justin Pechie in the big blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and Pechie check called a bet from Eberle. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the turn, and the river came the {2-Diamonds}. Pechie bet out, and Eberle called. Pechie showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens, and it was good enough to take the pot.

A few hands later, Eberle raised preflop, and once again, Pechie was the only caller. The flop caome out {5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and this time, Pechie check raised Eberle. He called, and the turn brought the {a-Diamonds}. Pechie bet out, and Eberle called again, as he did when the {3-Diamonds} hit the river. Pechie showed {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and his queen kicker gave him the pot, as Eberle showed an inferior {j-}{10-}. That pot has given Pechie the chip lead with six players left.

Katchalov Loses One To Pechie

Eugene Katchalov raised it up from the cutoff and was re-raised by Justin Pechie in the cutoff. Katchalov called.

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Pechie bet out with Katchalov calling.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and again Pechie bet and Katchalov called.

The river was the [jas] and Pechie again bet out. This time Katchalov sort of threw his hands in the air and shook his head as he put his call in and Pechie showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for aces full of jacks. Katchalov continued to shake his head and tossed his hand into the muck.

After the frustrating hand, Katchalov is down to 850,000 and Pechie has moved up to 775,000.
