Jim Collopy opened for his standard 40,000 on the button - but this time Gus Hansen made it 111,000 to go. Collopy didn't fancy it, and folded right there.
Hansen is still on barely a million chips to Collopy's 2.8 million, though.
Jim Collopy is really piling on pressure with the chip lead; something he wasn't able to do the other day. He raised to 40,000 from the button and then fired 53,000 on the flop and 99,000 on the turn. The board 
and Hansen called the first two bets but the last one was too hot for him to handle. He's struggling to win a hand at all so far.
Wow, after the marathon four- and five-hour matches of a few days back, the sheer aggressiveness of this final match is quite astounding. ESPN might not get their money's worth at this rate.
Jim Collopy opened for 40,000 from the button, only for Gus Hansen to make it 108,000 from the big blind. Back to Collopy, who now made it 212,000 to go - and with an air of resignation Hansen gave up his hand.
Hansen is at around half his starting stack already.

It took only four hands of heads-up play to see out first sizable pot. Gus Hansen limped from the button and called Jim Collopy's raise. Collopy led on the 
flop and was called by the Dane. The turn came 
and Collopy led for 184,000. Call. The river came 
and Collopy took his time before firing a hefty 450,000 into Hansen. Hansen tanked for three minutes before tossing in the calling chips.

In case you have perhaps never heard of poker or something, Gus Hansen is considered something of a legend.
An old-school live player, Hansen's super-aggressive, any-two-cards style has made him one of the most feared names on the tournament circuit. Hansen holds three official WPT titles as well as a WPT Invitational title, but has yet to win a bracelet - and he'll probably be feeling the pressure on him today.
Mr. Collopy is only 21 years old and is still technically a student. Originally from Washington DC, now resident in New York City and a variety of locations in Europe, Collopy has won almost $1.5 million online under the name "Mr_BigQueso". Owing to his age he has only recently started playing live, but it's been an amazing start - in the two years he's been on the live tournament circuit, Collopy has cashed in three EPTs, one WPT, and picked up four cashes at his first ever WSOP this summer.

So, it comes down to this.
Jim "Mr_BigQueso" Collopy and Gus "The Great Dane" Hansen played two heads-up matches a few days back, and when they abandoned play around 3am, the score was one-all. This is a best-of-three affair, meaning that whoever wins this final round will take home £288,409, a shiny gold bracelet and a place in WSOPE history. Whoever loses this will get a still rather nice £178,211 to help them lick their wounds.
This delay in the proceedings has actually worked out rather nicely - seeing as ESPN are here now, they've decided to give this marquee match the respect it deserves, and put it up on the main feature table, filming the whole thing.
The random people doing some inexplicable testing-type activities at said feature table are beginning to clear out, and chips have appeared in their stead. Play is due to start any minute, so please, watch this space.
