For Alexandre Coutant, poker is about personality. It’s a game where psychology and control all come together, combined with a healthy amount of luck. The Frenchman has been an avid Texas Holdem and Omaha player for seven years, playing in online tournaments, leagues created by his friends and taking annual trips to Las Vegas. The CEO was ecstatic upon winning his entry into the World Series of Poker Main Event 2007. “I trembled all over,” Alexandre commented, “I sent messages to all my friends and wanted to scream, but couldn’t because it was 7am in France!” Alexandre was so overwhelmed he couldn’t close the lobby freeroll window for three whole days. The victory comes all the more sweeter as Alexandre also celebrates the arrival of his son Paul, with wife Caroline. Alexandre will prepare for his debut at the World Series of Poker by playing in the French Poker Tour this coming June. The new father and experienced poker player will make a great addition to Team PokerNews at this year’s WSOP Main Event.
