    Justin Smith - 9th Place
    Justin Smith - 9th Place

Justin Smith Eliminated in 9th Place ($19,871)

Justin Smith re-raised all in after an open-raise from David Benyamine. Benyamine called, taking us to he draw. Each player drew one card, then opened:

    Benyamine: 9-6-5-3
    Smith: 9-7-4-2

Benyamine caught a deuce to leave Smith drawing dead. Smith opened a jack anyway, then left the feature table area as the 9th place finisher.

Roland De Wolfe Eliminated in 10th Place ($19,871)

Ville Wahlbeck opened, Roland De Wolfe moved all in from the big blind and Wahlbeck called. Both players stood pat.

De Wolfe's J-T-8-4-2 couldn't catch Wahlbeck's J-8-5-4-3 and he hit the rail in 10th place.

    JJ can't beat J-T

John Juanda opened for 30,000, Ville Wahlbeck reraised to 105,000 total from the small blind and Juanda made the call. Wahlbeck rapped pat while Juanda drew one.

Wahlbeck checked over to Juanda, who tanked for several minutes before checking behind. Walhbeck turned up J-T-6-4-3 and Juanda mucked his hand.

Wahlbeck is now closing in on 600,000 in chips while Juanda is down to 250,000.

    The Last of Three Days

Ten stalwart poker players remain from the 96 who started Event 23 - $10,000 World Championship No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw a few days ago. Play was suspended last night at 3am after protracted discussions about playing for another hour or longer until the final seven had been determined.

As a result we start the day with two five-handed tables. The story of the tournament right now is a man named Vince Musso. Musso (if Hendon Mob is accurate) has one previous WSOP cash to his credit -- 30 years ago in this very event, where he came in third behind runner-up Byron Wolford and champion Bobby Baldwin. Musso is leading the field with 765,000, a very comfortable stack when initial blinds today will be 6,000 and 12,000.

Play gets underway at 2pm local time. Will Musso be crowned champion by the end of the night? There's only one way to find out. Keep your browser pointed at PokerNews.com throughout the day for all of the live tournament updates.
