Chip Leader Perry FriedmanThat's a Wrap!
It's been a long day in the Amazon room, and after a gruelling ten hours of poker, Event 48 - $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo has come to an end.
762 players took to the felt to battle it out, but at the end of the day only 87 would survive through to Day 2.
Everyone from the young guns Jason Mercier, Justin Young and Terrence Chan to the seasoned veterans Berry Johnston, Allen Cunningham and Kathy Liebert turned out, as did the amateurs with high hopes and dreams.
But at the end of the day, many of them would not experience the pleasurable feeling of bagging their chips for a return.
When it was all said and done, Perry Friedman sits on top with a healthy 144,500 in chips and is trailed closely by Brandon Cantu (105,000) and Rodeen Talebi (93,000). Lee Markholt (26,600) and Lee Watkinson (24,700) still remain, along with Phil Hellmuth (43,000).
Play kicks off tomorrow at 2:00pm local time, so make sure to catch all the live coverage from PokerNews as we update you on every chopped pot, counterfeited low and mega-wrap! -
