Vitaly Lunkin, likely overnight chip leaderDay Three In The Books - Lunkin Leads
After five levels of play today the players are now bagging and tagging and calling it quits. After three days of flops, chops and scoops, we're down to our last 19 players.
The day started with 53 hopefuls but the big names dropped away quickly. Ivey, Kravchenko, Greenstein, Benyamine, Alaei, Brunson, Lindgren and Ferguson all arrived today with hopes but departed with dreams shattered. We also lost our defending champion Scotty Nguyen who fell late in the day.
We still have one previous H.O.R.S.E. champion in the field with Freddy Deeb performing strongly today to finish amongst the leaders. However it's the international invasion of Wahlbeck, Sagstrom and Lunkin who dominated play to lead the way heading into day four of play tomorrow.
Vitaly Lunkin is a likely overnight leader with over 1.5 million in chips, and will be looking to add to his impressive 2009 WSOP record tomorrow. We'll have the official chip counts for you very shortly.
Join us from 2 p.m. as we burst one of the biggest money bubbles in poker and then play down until our final table is formed! See you then! -
