    Matt Giannetti

Final Table Bio: Seat 4, Matt Giannetti (311,000)

Matt Giannetti is a professional poker player from Massachusetts, however, these days you will most often see him around Las Vegas staring over a mountain of chips at a cash game. A regular at some of the highest stake No Limit games in town, Giannetti has also dabbled in tournament poker over the past few years, cashing six times at the WSOP with one final table. A finish of fourth place or above would officially make this Giannetti’s largest tournament payday to date.

    Jason Mercier
    Jason Mercier

Final Table Bio: Seat 2, Jason Mercier (384,000)

Jason Mericer has been among the chip leaders since the early levels of this tournament. Surging to an early chip lead, at the end of Day 2 he had 60% more chips than his nearest competitor. He was able to use the big stack effectively to ride it all the way down to the final table. Today he comes in at 394,000, fourth in chips.

Many in America may not be familiar with the 22 year old prodigy, but in Europe he has taken down over $2.6 million in cashes including an EPT Title at San Remo, a victory at the High Roller Event in London, and another EPT final table in Barcalona (all between April and October of 2008). But Mercier is not just a Hold’em specialist; he has four cashes in major PLO tournaments including a 1st place at a LAPC prelim this year as well as FTOPS takedown for $84,000.

Final Table Bio: Seat 1, An "The Boss" Tran (455,000)

An Tran is one of those old school poker players that has been around since before the boom. Born in Vietnam, Tran has not received a lot of ink in the past few years, but don’t let that fool you – The Boss has over $2,500,000 in career tournament earnings. With one bracelet already to his name (a $1,500 PLO bracelet to be exact), this will be Tran’s 18th lifetime cash at the WSOP.
