The day is over, finally. Day 2 saw 149 players return from the first day of action, but now only 16 remain. Some of today's casualties included Kathy Liebert, Antonio Esfandiari, Dick Carson, Tim Horan, Kirill Gerasimov, Lee Markholt, Jeff Lisandro, and Mike Caro. Among those left in the field, Jason Dewitt has worked his way to the top of the leaderboard with over a millionand a half in chips.

Play will resume tomorrow at 1:00 PM local time instead of 2:00 PM due to the fact that there is more than just the final table left. The plan is still to play all the way through until we have a winner.

We'll see you back here tomorrow in the early afternoon to finish out Event No. 52.

Jason Cohen Eliminated in 18th Place ($19,068); Rob Tepper Eliminated in 17th Place ($19,068)

Just as we were set to redraw for seats, we lost two players on the same hand. Karga Holt started by opening for 31,000 from late position. He was called by Wes Watson from the button and Rob Tepper in the small blind before Jason Cohen moved all in from the big blind for a total of about 100,000. Holt then moved all in as well, folding Watson.

Tepper summoned a floor to confirm we had reached the next pay jump before calling all in as well, creating a three-way pot!

Holt didn't seem thrilled to be up against two hands, but that changed on a flop of . The on the turn gave him a lock hand, eliminating both other players in the process. Since Tepper had more chips than Cohen to start the hand, Tepper is the 17th place finisher and Cohen is the 18th place finisher. Both will receive $19,068.

Darryl Ronconi Eliminated in 19th Place ($14,967)

Just shortly after the tournament staff anoounced that each of the final three tables would play six more hands, Darryl Rinconi raised to 36,000 from the cutoff. Jason DeWitt flat-called on the button. The flop came down and Ronconi fired 60,000. DeWitt made the call.

The turn brought the and Ronconi checked. DeWitt took his time and then bet 50,000. Ronconi moved all in and was quickly called by DeWitt. Ronconi held , but was behind DeWitt's for two pair.

The river landed the , no help to Ronconi, and he was eliminated in 19th place.

What's interesting about this elimination is that because Ronconi went out in 19th, the remaining 18 players would have to redraw to two tables. Because each table was playing a set amount of hands to finish out the night (six), the tables may have played an uneven amount of hands. For example, one table could be finished while Ronconi busted. Although that far stretch of an example didn't happen, it's still an interesting scenario nonetheless.

Giorgio Miconi Eliminated in 20th Place ($14,967)

Finally a spot of action on Orange #60. The two short stacks on the table, Giorgio Miconi and Rob Tepper, got the chips in the middle preflop. Miconi had the smallest pair possible, ; Tepper showed . Of course the ace flopped, , and Miconi was out the door after a turn of and river of .

No Action

Late at night the action often slows down. It's a function of chip consolidation, skill consolidation, and fatigue. The reason we haven't posted much in the last thirty minutes is because there hasn't been much to say. Play has definitely ground to a halt.
