    Alaei Takes One

Three players saw a flop of {4-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The player in the small blind checked, Neil Channing bet 2,150, Daniel Alaei called from the button, and the third player folded. The turn was the {K-Spades}, and both checked.

The river brought the {6-Clubs}. Channing checked, and Alaei tossed out a bet of 4,400. Channing let it go.

Both Channing and Alaei are right about 50,000 at the moment.

    Negreanu No More

A player raised under the gun to 1,100, the cutoff called, and Daniel Negreanu -- back from his other event -- called from the button. Then the small blind then reraised the bunch to 5,500. The first two players folded, but Negreanu made the call, saying "Wheeee!" as he did.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The small blind bet 7,250, Negreanu quickly pushed all in for about 20,000, and the small blind instantly called, turning over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. "I have a full boat..." joked Negreanu as he turned over {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. "On the turn," he clarified.

He didn't have his full house on the turn, as it was the {8-Hearts}. Nor on the river, which was the {J-Clubs}. Negreanu is out, and on his way to play poker elsewhere in the Rio.

    One for Watkinson

After a raise to 1,150 from the player sitting UTG, it folded to Lee Watkinson who called from the big blind. The flop came {K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Watkinson checked, his opponent bet 1,000, and Watkinson called. The turn brought the {K-Clubs}, and both checked.

The river was the {7-Diamonds}. This time Watkinson bet 2,000, and his opponent called. Watkinson showed {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and his opponent mucked.

    Watkinson has 34,000.

    Cunningham Considers, Concedes

A player under the gun raised to 1,050, and three players called, including the player in the cutoff seat, Allen Cunningham from the button, and Ivan Demidov from the big blind.

The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. The original raiser checked, then the player in the cutoff bet 2,700. Cunningham quickly called, and the others folded.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}. This time the cutoff carefully cut out a bet of 8,700 chips. Cunningham shot him a glance, contemplated the situation for about a minute, then folded.

Cunningham has about 32,000. Demidov has 35,000.

    Ferguson Falls Back a Bit

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson made a minimum-raise to 800 from UTG+1, and it folded back to the big blind who made the call. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The BB checked, Ferguson bet 1,000, his opponent check-raised to 3,000, and Ferguson -- with his usual deliberation -- called.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts}. The big blind checked, and Ferguson again took his time before checking as well. The river was the {2-Diamonds}, the BB quickly checked, and Ferguson a little less quickly checked, too.

Ferguson's opponent showed {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for sixes full of queens, and Ferguson tossed his cards face up to the dealer, who scooped them up quickly, though it appeared he'd had pocket nines.

    Ferguson has about 35,000 now.

    Liebert Loses a Few

Kathy Liebert raised to 900 from middle position, and it folded around to the big blind who made the call. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The big blind checked, Liebert continued with a pot-sized bet of 2,000, and her opponent called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds}. The BB again checked, and this time Liebert bet 4,000. Her opponent check-raised to 10,000, and Liebert called.

The river was the {J-Spades}. This time the BB shoved all in for 10,050, and Liebert let it go. She is now at 20,000.
